Euregio.net is the premier Internet Access, Presence and Service Provider in East-Belgium and the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The company was established in July 1995. Euregio.net AG was the first Internet Service Provider in the telephone zones 080 and 087. That includes the complete German-speaking part of Belgium and parts of the French-speaking region. Over the last year, we've expanded our dialin numbers to cover whole Belgium. No matter where you live, you can use our dialup service to get the fastest speeds on the Internet.
Our business was created in July 1995 and we launched our Internet Services on August 24th, 1995. Before starting euregio.net we've already had experience in the Internet and electronic publishing since 1984.
Due to the request of our clients, we opened our second Point of Presence in the telephone zone 087 in April 1996. At that time others were still talking about doing so in the future. With new technologies arriving very fast, we are also adapting our business according to our clients' needs. Watch our site for more information about technologies like ADSL, wireless services, etc.
Our offices are situated in the new building of the BRF (Belgischer Rundfunk) which is the public radio and television station in East-Belgium. This gives us an excellent starting point for the future and allows us to come closer to our vision of the "Digital East-Belgium".

Euregio.net has created a multi-lingual online service to provide information about East-Belgium and the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.
The Euregio Meuse-Rhine encompasses parts of Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. It is very important that our staff can communicate with people in the Euregio in their native language.
All of our staff members speak at least four languages: English, German, French and Dutch. Some of them speak several programming dialects as well :-)

Before euregio.net was launched, we ran a commercial user group which was among the largest Macintosh user groups in the world. We know how to edit material for electronic and digital publishing, how to stay on top of the technology, how to deliver great services for great value and how to answer your questions...
Since 1987 we've been running some of the most popular online services and bulletin board systems (BBS) in the Benelux.
We were one of the first companies in the south of East-Belgium who were using ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network). In fact, in 1994, we helped Belgacom to discover a bug in one of their digital switches in Brussels which prevented correct routing of ISDN calls to The Netherlands.
Computers, networks, telecommunication and new medias have always been part of our daily work and enjoyment.

Euregio.net is running one of the most popular online services - web servers - in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine and Belgium.
Currently we are serving an average of more than 260,000 pages a day. Since we launched our service, more than 1231233538 pages were downloaded from our server.
Our first million pages were downloaded in just 11 months,
our second million in less than 4 months,
the third million in just 71 days,
the fourth million pages in only 47 days and
the fifth million in 40 days.
The 20 millionth page was served after 35 months of operation,
the 50 millionth page was served only 11 months later, on May 12th, 1999.
We are now approaching the 9 million pages per month mark: today we are running at more than 60 million hits/month, satisfying over 900,000 unique hosts/month.
We've got information on our servers about all walks of life. There is information about culture, family, entertainment, current affairs, events, and a lot more.

Euregio.net has connected its Network Operation Center to Brussels where we get connections to the Brussels X-Router and direct lines to Ebone in Paris and Stockholm.
Our modem-to-user ratio is one of the lowest in Belgium. This means that you will never have to wait for your dial-up connection because of a busy signal. We are monitoring our modems very closely.
More modems and bandwidth are very easily upgraded and added as we've already got a 2 Mbits loop installed. Euregio.net is the number one choice for your Internet connection at whatever speed you want.

We are monitoring our network services very closely 24/24 hours. By combining proprietary paging software written by our programming department with off-the-shelf monitoring (SNMP) solutions, we are able to provide the best service at all times.
Our network resources are checked at low level and high level to make sure that every aspect of the system works as expected. We are constantly evaluating software and hardware to achieve an even higher MTBF (mean time before failure). We currently achieve an uptime of more than 99.9% (excluding scheduled maintenance).
